March 9, 12:00pm, EST - 1:00pm, EST

Join the Michigan HIMSS Chapter and guest speaker TJ Youngquist to learn about the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Bridge to Better Health Report.

In 2019, the Health IT Commission adopted a resolution to the update the State health IT strategic plan. The Health IT Commission, in partnership with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), was awarded a grant from the Michigan Health Endowment Fund.

From 2020 to 2022, the Health IT Commission engaged with and developed an updated strategic plan, based on the following principles:

- Guide prioritization and governance of the public/private investments made in Michigan's health IT and health information exchange (HIE) infrastructure
- Advance the State's goals, including health improvement and healthcare transformation
- Extend the work of the State's 2006 HIT Roadmap, the Conduit to Care Report
- Set the vision for expanded data services that will provide meaningful insights to inform clinical care, drive population health improvements, and engage individuals in their own health and care with connected social support services.
